New Delhi: When the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Chandrayaan-2 lander Vikram was trying to land on the lunar surface, it lost contact with the ground station due to 'hard landing'. US Space Agency NASA gave this information. NASA has said that the scientists of the space agency have so far failed to find the lander.
Earlier, informing on Thursday, ISRO chief K Sivan said that the orbiter of Chandrayaan-2 is working perfectly. He has also started his experiments. Sivan was telling about this in an event in Ahmedabad. He said that a national-level committee has been constituted to investigate what was the problem with the lander Vikram.
Sivan said that now ISRO's next big mission will be based on Sun. In addition, sending ISRO through an Indian spacecraft is also the goal of ISRO. ISRO is also building a rocket to launch smaller satellites. Sivan said that 'there are eight instruments in the orbiter and each instrument is doing what it has to do'. He said that "initially a year was planned for the orbiter, but there is every possibility that it will work for another seven-and-a-half year, which will help us in scientific trials."
