Nashik. A major accident has occurred in Nashik, Maharashtra amid the havoc of the coronavirus epidemic. There has been a leakage in the oxygen tank at Zakir Hussain Hospital.  Six patients have lost their lives in the accident. Meanwhile, 25 people are in critical condition. Reports suggest that the leakage occurred while filling the tanker. Oxygen had spread to the hospital premises due to leakage.

The leak from the tank had caused oxygen to spread throughout the area. During this time, 25 patients were reportedly treated in the hospital on ventilators. The condition of many patients remains critical. In addition, more than 60 patients were being given oxygen. Maharashtra is the country's most affected state by the coronavirus epidemic.

The fire officer informed that at 12.30 pm, there was a call that oxygen was leaking from the tank. We rushed to the spot and found that the valve of the oxygen tank was open from where the oxygen was leaking. Oxygen was being filled in the oxygen tank from a tanker. He informed, 'We have closed the valve that was open, but a lot of oxygen has been leaked'.
