Former Congress minister Dr. Shankarrao Rakh, a noted veteran of the Maharashtra branch of the country, has passed away. He died of a heart attack in a hospital in Maharashtra. Doctors found out their condition. His incredible contribution to the politics of the Maharashtra Congress was incomparable. The news of his demise has caused a sense of grief in the Congress.

His family sources said the Rakh was 86 years old, Friday night he breathed his last. His funeral will be held in Jalaun on Saturday. According to family sources, between 1975 and 1978, Vasantada Patil was the Minister of State for Prohibition in the cabinet led by Vasantada Patil.

According to the information received, Rakh established several educational institutions and was associated with various social organizations. His son, Dr. Sanjay Ash, is the Managing Director of Deepak Hospital in Jalna.
