Protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act and NRC are continuing all over the country. In Maharashtra too, NCP, Congress and NCP and other political parties will organize protests on Thursday. These parties will unite under a front called 'We the people of India' and will protest in August Kranti Maidan. According to a release issued by the Front, the Citizenship (Amendment) Act and NRC have been declared unconstitutional and discriminatory.

Apart from Congress and NCP, Samajwadi Party, CPI, CPM, JD (S), Kisan and Workers Party of India, Muslim League and various civic organizations will also participate in this protest in Maharashtra. According to the release issued by the Front, December 19 is historically important because, on this day in 1927 freedom fighters Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaq Ullah Khan and Roshan Singh were hanged.
In his statement, he said that the constitution prepared by Dr. BR Ambedkar is being violated and he is being attacked. That is why the whole country has chosen this day to condemn the unconstitutional and divisive laws of the BJP government.
