India: Late Friday night, cyber attacks were carried out by hackers on the country's armies. After the attack, the cyber wing of the three armies warned all employees and officers not to open the email titled 'notice' with the attachment, giving an emergency warning. Sources gave this information on Saturday.
According to the media report, the emergency alert states that phishing emails are being sent to military personnel with a hyperlink named 'HNQ notice file.xls download'. These emails are being sent exclusively from 'PRVINNAAK.598 et GOV.IN' email id. It has been said in the alert that one should be careful if such a subject is sent with email id and link. If such mails are found in the inbox, one should not be open it at all, rather report or delete it.
In his statement, a senior army officer said that cyber-attack on the important infrastructure of the country is happening from Pakistan or China. As soon as these attacks intensified, our cyber unit has been alerted. The government also plans to set up a defense cyber agency for the armed forces. Set up to focus only on military cyber issues, the agency's job is to deal with the threats posed by foreign targets such as China and Pakistan.
