The confusion over the majority of the Kamal Nath government in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh for nearly two weeks will clear on Friday. The Supreme Court has ordered the Kamal Nath government to prove its majority in the Assembly on Friday. The court also said that the majority of test work should be completed by 5 pm on Friday. If any of the 16 rebel MLAs of the Congress wants to go to participate in the proceedings of the House, then they will be provided full security. In the wake of the rebellion of Congress MLAs, the Kamal Nath government is unlikely to succeed in a majority test. Meanwhile, late night Speaker NP Prajapati accepted the resignations of 16 rebel MLAs.

Congress demands adjournment of Parliament

A bench of Supreme Court Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice Hemant Gupta issued these orders after hearing the marathon debate that lasted for two days on the petition of BJP MLAs seeking the order of immediate majority trial. The court has said that the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly which was adjourned till 26 March will be called on 20 March. The sole agenda of this meeting will be a majority test. It will decide whether Chief Minister Kamal Nath has a majority of the House or not. During the majority test, the court has said that the members will show their votes by raising their hands. The court in its order has quoted excerpts from the Governor's letter dated March 15, stating that there is no provision to show division of votes by pressing the button there.

Regarding the matter, the court has ordered that the proceedings of the Legislative Assembly be video-recorded and if there are provisions for live telecast, that too should be ensured. The court has asked all the responsible authorities and the Assembly Secretary to ensure that the proceedings of the assembly go on in a peaceful manner and there is no violation of law and order. The court has ordered the DGP of Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh to ensure that 16 MLAs (Congress rebels) do not face any hindrance or hindrance in exercising their rights as a citizen and if they or among them If anyone wants to participate in the proceedings of the assembly, they will be given full security.
