Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh): Three regional drug shops (RDS) are being set up in the state. The National Health Mission is building these in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati, which are designed to store medicines in an area of 40,000 sq ft in the country. The state government is providing Rs 10 crore. The construction of the purchased sites will be completed within one year.

The newly built centers have a blockade facility as well as a huge storage of shades. Each center can store enough medicines for at least six months. Cold chain (cooling) is possible with advanced technology along with drug storage. Storage of injections, vaccines and expensive drugs is not a problem.

State Corona Updates -

In the last 24 hours, 66,002 samples were tested in the state and 1,221 positive cases were reported. This will reach the total number of cases 8,59,932. The number has risen to 6,920 after the deaths of ten new corona victims. In the last 24 hours, 1,829 people have been discharged from the conquest of Covid. There are currently 15,382 active cases in the state.
