New Delhi: On Monday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned former Congress President Rahul Gandhi for about eight and a half hours in the National Herald case. According to the information, during the interrogation, Rahul could not answer many questions of the investigating agency. Apart from this, after answering many questions, changes were also made in it. Rahul Gandhi is to appear before the ED again on Tuesday at 11 am.

It is being told that this will be an important questioning as new evidence and papers will be placed before Rahul, on which his answer will be sought. Rahul Gandhi's statement is being recorded under section 50 of the PMLA Act. 3 ED officers participated in the interrogation. Before questioning Rahul, he was administered an oath that he would answer all questions truthfully. Congress workers demonstrated in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Chandigarh against the appearance of Rahul Gandhi before the ED. During this, hundreds of activists have also been detained.

It is not that a Congress leader has been questioned for the first time in the National Herald case, but there has never been such a protest against him. In fact, Congress wants to tell through this protest that Rahul Gandhi is the biggest leader of the opposition in Congress. He wants to give a message that all Congress leaders have stood with Rahul. ED asked many questions to Rahul Gandhi many times. During the first round of interrogation, a barrage of questions was raised in front of the Congress leader on the basis of the documents. Some transactions were shown and asked if he knew anything in this regard.

In the second round of interrogation, Rahul was first questioned about the Kolkata-based company which was said to be fake. The ED claimed that through this fake company, Rs 50 lakh was given to the company in which both Rahul and Sonia held 38 percent shares. Questions were also asked about some other companies and transactions. But, it is being told that ED is not satisfied with the answers of Rahul Gandhi. For this reason, he has been summoned for questioning again tomorrow.
