The main national program of the sixth International Yoga Day will be held in Leh, Ladakh on June 21. About 15 to 20 thousand people will join this occasion along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Minister Shripad Naik gave this information.
Minister of State for AYUSH Shripad On Wednesday while addressing reporters said that yoga will be practiced for about 45 minutes during this program. During this, apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many other dignitaries will also be involved. The same, the main event of 'Sixth International Yoga Day, 2020' will be held on 21 June in Leh, the capital of Ladakh. This program will be led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that International Yoga Day will be special this time, because for the first time such a large number of people will do yoga together at an altitude place like Leh.
For your information, let us tell you that last year, the Yoga Day program was organized in Ranchi and the Prime Minister participated in the program. On June 21, 2015, the first International Day of Yoga was celebrated worldwide. During this, more than 30 thousand people including PM Modi did yoga together at Rajpath in New Delhi. International Yoga Day was first mentioned by PM Modi during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on 27 September 2014.
