Today, the Border Security Force (BSF) is celebrating its 55th Foundation Day. On the 55th foundation day of BSF, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai said that soon the government is going to provide free air travel from Jammu to Delhi for the soldiers posted in Kashmir. He also said that the government is doing everything for the soldiers to spend 100 days a year with their families. Several efforts have been made by the government to provide all possible facilities to the soldiers of the Central Armed Police Forces.

Nityanand said, 'Government of India is committed to provide modern technology for the security of our soldier. The government has increased the retirement age of soldiers to 60 years. With this, we are preparing to provide free air travel from Jammu to Delhi to the soldiers posted in Kashmir, this will be implemented soon.'

In addition, he announced that the Delhi Development Authority will provide a one-room house at affordable rates to the wives of those whose husbands have won gallantry awards or who have died while on duty.
