After the demise of Dwarka Prasad Mishra's Congress government nearly 52 years ago, the way Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia wielded influence in Govind Narayan Singh's government, now the same effect is seen in Rajivata's grandson and former Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in Shivraj government. The beginning has started with the deployment of Scindia's favourite officer and there are indications that officers are being deployed in the areas of their choice.

Kamal Nath's rival officer Sandeep Makin of Gwalior Municipal Corporation was removed after his altercation with Scindia. The Shivraj government has given Sandeep a post in Gwalior. Apart from this, in-charge DG Sushobhan Banerjee, who led the ongoing Economic Offenses Cell (EOW) investigation against Scindia, has also been removed and sent to Sagar by doing a line.
