AIADMK MP V Maitreyan gave a farewell speech when his term in the Rajya Sabha came to an end. On this occasion, he remembered former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and wept. "In this statement, I take this opportunity to express my gratitude and gratitude to my beloved leader, Amma (Jayalalitha). He believed in me unwaveringly and sent me here for a three-term term," he said.
For your information, five MPs from Tamil Nadu were bid farewell to the Rajya Sabha on completion of their term. Among the retiring MPs are Maitreyan, D. King, KR Arjunan, R. Lakshmanan and T. Rathinawell. In which Raja is an MP from the CPI and the rest are from the AIADMK. The Speaker of the House M Venkaiah Naidu appreciated the contribution of these retiring MPs.
