Sonawane's wife and children were already on platform number 7. Sonwane's wife and children shouted seeing the train coming.

According to Thane RPF in-charge Rajendra Pandav, where Anil drove Sonawane to the safe platform, he narrowly escaped. Sonawane came to Mumbai from Jalna in search of work and was going back to Jalna.
