On Thursday morning, State Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb visited the affected areas of the state. He also took stock of the rescue and relief operations of the affected people. The Chief Minister interacted with the people present there, taking stock of various areas of Sepahijala district. He also distributed funds among the public in some areas for immediate relief.

Amid the virus and nature disaster, the Chief Minister on Wednesday night ordered the Chief Secretary of the state to expedite rescue and relief work in the affected areas. He also spoke to the DMs of the affected districts. Heavy rains, thunderstorms and torrential rains have caused more damage in Sepahijala and Khowai districts of the state. According to the district administration, 17 relief camps have been set up at different places in Sepahijala district. 4200 people have been kept in these.
