The citizenship of Telangana TRS MLA Ramesh Chennamaneni has again been revoked. He has been accused by the Home Ministry of concealing the facts. Explain that the matter was related to visits during the 12 months immediately before his application for Indian citizenship. Chennamaneni, who was elected MLA from Vemulwada for the second time last year, said that the High Court had given a positive verdict first. He will again challenge this decision of the government in the High Court.

According to the media report, the Home Ministry said in an order on Wednesday that Chennamaneni misled the Indian government by making false statements or concealing facts. If he would have told the fact that he was not living in India for a year before applying, the competent authority of the ministry would not grant him citizenship.

Apart from this, it has been said in the order that as a public representative, it was the responsibility of Chennamaneni, to tell the truth. His conduct should have been an example for those he represents. The ministry said that if the action was not taken against the MLA, the wrong message would have been sent to the public. People will make the wrong assumption that Indian citizenship can be taken by making false statements and hiding the facts.
