Unknown people fired on the police patrol at Asansol station road in West Bengal on Monday at four o'clock. In this, Sub Inspector Sandeep Pal (54) and Constable Arijit Samant (36) of Asansol South Police Station were badly injured due to bullet. Criminals escaped while firing bullets.

According to media reports, the injured Sub Inspector Sandeep Pal has been admitted to the Health World of Durgapur in critical condition. The bullet is stuck between his shoulder and spine. At the same time, Constable Arijit Samanta got out of the bullet touching near the neck. He has been admitted to Asansol District Hospital.

For your information, let us tell you that after receiving the information, many officials including DCP Traffic Pushpa, ACP visited the spot. CCTV footage showed that the culprits who shot the bullet landed in a train in Asansol late at night. On getting out of the station, he boarded an auto. Meanwhile, SI Sandeep Pal, constable Arijit Samant, patrol driver, one constable and CPVF personnel were standing jeep at number 13 of Station Road.

Seeing three youths riding in an auto coming from the station, the police stopped and questioned. When in doubt, the youths were asked to walk to the police station in the police vehicle. Just then, after getting out of the auto, a young man took out a revolver and fired on SI Sandeep Pal. After this he targeted Constable Arijit, but the bullet came out touching his neck. The CPVF jawan present in the patrol was also targeted, but he survived. According to sources, the criminals sprinkled something like spray, due to which no one came to know for some time and taking advantage of the opportunity, all escaped.
