New Delhi: The infighting in the Punjab Congress has intensified. Senior Congress leader and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu and CM Amarinder Singh are not doing well. Navjot Singh Sidhu has been constantly targeting CM Amarinder Singh and the government. In 2022, punjab is having elections. The Congress top leadership has summoned all MLAs, ministers and state leaders to Delhi.

The Congress on Tuesday is trying to appease the rebel MLAs who have questioned the leadership of CM Amarinder Singh ahead of next year's elections. Punjab is one of the three states where the party is ruling on its own. A three-member committee constituted by party working president Sonia Gandhi met Sidhu to resolve the issue. Earlier, Congress MLA Navjot Singh Sidhu put up a black flag at his house in Patiala in support of farmers agitating against the Centre's three new agricultural laws. Sidhu had tweeted, "Put up a black flag in protest. Every Punjabi should support the farmers".
