Amritsar: Navjot Singh Sidhu's fever now seems to be softening after congress working president Sonia Gandhi and former president Rahul Gandhi's crackdown. After meeting Punjab Congress unit president Sunil Jakhar, Sidhu has said that captain Amarinder Singh is the face of the Congress in the state and even if there are any differences, he can be resolved through dialogue.

He said he does not intend to question the functioning of his own government. Meanwhile, Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat has arrived in Chandigarh in a state government helicopter to meet CM Amarinder Singh amid a rift within the party. After holding a meeting with Sunil Jakhar at his Panchkula residence, Sidhu said the high command is in touch with him and whatever differences are there will be resolved through internal talks in the party.

In fact, there are reports that Navjot Singh Sidhu may soon be given the command of the Punjab Congress unit. In addition, Jalandhar MP Santosh Chaudhary and cabinet minister Vijay Indra Singla may be appointed as executive presidents. Captain Amarinder Singh and Navjot Singh sidhu are likely to meet by this evening to resolve the matter. MP Santosh Chaudhary and cabinet minister Vijay Indra Singla have also reached cm Amarinder Singh's farmhouse in Siswan, Mohali.
