New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has claimed that Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu wanted to join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). However, he did not give much news and said that it is now the final that Sidhu will not come as he is happy in the Congress itself. Talking about the Punjab Assembly elections, Kejriwal said that the AAP cm's post in the state will be from Punjab and he will announce it after a few days.
After Sidhu termed the promise of providing financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month to all women above 18 years of age as a "lollipop" if he comes to power in Punjab, Kejriwal said he would implement it in Delhi as well. He said that some works should first be implemented in Punjab also, preparations have been made in Delhi also. Earlier, Sidhu had said that how many women in Delhi are being provided this amount.
Moreover, Kejriwal said that he will take action according to whatever mandate comes after the elections. "Every election is fought on expectation," he said of the alliance of opposition parties. In five years, we have done so much work in Delhi that people voted again in hope. Sidhu has been attacking Kejriwal over the Aam Aadmi Party's announcement for the past few days. In a recent tweet, Sidhu had said, "Those who live in glass houses themselves should not throw stones at others. Arvind Kejriwalji, you talk about women empowerment, jobs and teachers. However, there is not a single woman Minister in your Cabinet. Former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit ji left surplus in terms of revenue to Delhi, how many women do you give one thousand rupees per month in Delhi?"
