Dantewada: At least  11 personnel were killed in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED)  attack was carried out by Naxals on a vehicle carrying District Reserve Guard personnel near Aranpur.

Ten police personnel and a driver were killed in a landmine blast in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada di. Such was the impact of the high intensity blast that the ill-fated vehicle was hurled in the air before it came crashing down. A huge crater (10 feet deep and 20 feet wide)- which had split the road wide open is a testimony to the lethal intent behind the attack.

It is suspected that an improvised explosive device was detonated during the ambush; it was packed with 50kg of explosives; this was 10 times the quantity of explosives needed to target the mini-van which was rented and offered no ballistic protection.

"There is such information with us, which is very saddening. Naxals won't be spared. My condolences to the bereaved families. This fight is in its last stage. "The news of the martyrdom of our 10 DRG jawans and a driver due to
