During this period of lockdown, several reports have surfaced so far, including the wedding of Lady Superstar Nayantara and sensational Kollywood director Vignesh Shivan. While some suggested that they be tied to marriage during the lockdown period, others suggested that they would be married only after visiting some temples. However, there has been no official confirmation of either of them. Now in an interview with Behindwoods, Vignesh Shivan opened up about his marriage to Nayantara.

In the interview he said, "Rumours about wedding keep coming up from time to time. We both have professional goals to achieve. We cannot think about marriage before that. Also, we are happy with the way things are, right now. " Jokingly, he said that they will get married when both of them get bored with their dating life. The Nanum Rowdy Dhawan actor said that the rumored and insensitive news about him was not a positive test for COVID 19.

Regarding his next film Kathu Vakula Rendu Kadhal with Nayantara, Samantha Akkineni and Vijay Sethupathi, he said that he plans to make the film in August or September, but it did not go according to plan due to the lockdown. He assured that after everything goes well, he will start the film. Vignesh Shivan and Nayantara fell in love with each other after their film Nanam Rowdy Dhawan. While they kept their ties tied for all these years, at a recent event, Nayantara stated that Vignesh was her lover.
