New Delhi: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has recovered a large quantity of heroin and other suspected substances while dying in a raid at Shaheen Bagh in Jamia Nagar in the national capital. The NCB has seized 50 kg of heroin and 47 kg of other drugs on Wednesday (April 27, 2022). After this, a large amount of cash has also been found with the money counting machine.
NCB's DDG (Operations) Sanjay Singh has informed that NCB Delhi Zone had raided a residential complex at Shaheen Bagh in Jamia Nagar on April 27. It has found 50 kg of high-quality heroin, 47 kg of suspected narcotics, Rs 30 lakh in cash and other objectionable material. Sanjay Singh said that the consignment of heroin and other drugs has reached India through Afghanistan, which was kept in hiding in Jamia Nagar. At the same time, the recovered cash is suspected to have been collected through hawala. At the same time, there is talk of a person being arrested in this case. The total value of the total drugs recovered in the international market is estimated to be over Rs 400 crore.
It is being told that this heroin has been made in the branches of the tree and hidden in it, brought to India through the sea and then through the Pakistan border. The heroin was packed in Flipkart's packing. The wires of this drug syndicate are being used from several states of the country including Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Delhi. NCB's DDG Dnyaneshwar Singh said that earlier also this syndicate had brought drugs in various items to India by hiding drugs in various items. People belonging to this syndicate are well versed in heroin manufacturing and advertising. They take advantage of it in dodging the investigating agencies. Investigations are also underway at the locations of people belonging to this syndicate in other cities.
Shaheen Bagh is the same place where the entire Delhi was held hostage by blocking the roads for months in protest against the CAA-NRC.
