Narcotics Control Bureau zonal director Sameer Wankhede recently made a shocking revelation. He said actor Armaan Kohli is facing some serious charges after being taken into custody. In fact, the actor was arrested at the NCB office yesterday morning after several hours of interrogation in connection with the drugs case. On the other hand, when Sameer Wankhede was asked if Armaan Kohli and others who were arrested were related to the South American case.
On hearing this, Wankhede replied, "Apart from consumption alone, many other allegations have been made against him. He (Armaan Kohli) will be produced before the court tomorrow. That's when Wankhede was asked if the NCB would treat the allegations as serious and seek further custody." On this, the NCB official said, "We can seek custody, but we will take a final call on it tonight. At the same time, Sameer Wankhede pointed out that he would take action against Bollywood stars if they found more evidence against them, though he added that his target was not just an industry."
Sameer Wankhede says that we have a zero-tolerance policy on drugs, but that does not mean that we are just going after an industry. We are only concerned about the violation of the NDPS (narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances) Act. There are three actors in the NCB's arrest at the moment. Last Sunday, Armaan Kohli's house was raided by the NCB and in this red, the NCB recovered a very small quantity of cocain from the actor's house.
