Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has filed a petition in the Sameer Khan drug case in the NDPS court. Sameer Khan is the son-in-law of Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Nawab Malik. In his petition, NCB has sought voice samples of Sameer Khan. In fact, NCB arrested Sameer Khan and Karan Sajnani earlier this year in January. Karan Sajnani is a British citizen.

According to NCB, both had large quantities of CBD and Marijuana. However, out of the 18 samples found from them, 11 samples were found negative in forensic tests. NCB then tested several voice samples during their investigation. The investigating agency had also examined the voice chats of Sameer Khan and Karan Sajnani. NCB sources said that the chat had a conversation over drug-taking. The forensic team had also examined these voice samples.

According to NCB sources, these voice samples are now required to be examined for further examination to ascertain the voice of Sameer and Karan in the sample. However, NCB has filed their chargesheet suo-clock in the case, both are currently out on bail in the case. The NCB has now filed an application for examination of the voice samples of the two. In such a situation, once again the investigating agency is trying to reopen this case.
