Mumbai: There seems to be a crisis on the coalition government of Maharashtra. In fact, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar is angry with the Uddhav Thackeray government's decision to hand over the investigation of Bhima Koregaon violence and Elgar case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). NCP chief Sharad Pawar has called a meeting of all 16 party ministers at his house on Monday.

According to the scheduled program, Sharad Pawar was supposed to go to Nashik on Monday, but he canceled the tour and called this meeting of ministers. Pawar wants Bhima Koregaon to investigate Maharashtra Police itself. Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had objected to the investigation being handed over to the NIA. Deshmukh had told to get the matter investigated by the state agency, but the Thackeray government handed over this investigation to the NIA.

Let us tell you that a few days ago, Sharad Pawar wrote a two-page letter to CM Uddhav Thackeray, in which he has demanded to constitute a new SIT to investigate the Bhima Koregaon case. Pawar had made many serious allegations against the former Fadnavis government regarding this matter. Sharad Pawar had said that, 'I believe that the then Fadnavis government had conspired with the police. The law enforcement agencies did not take action against the main culprits of the violence and instead tried to divert the attention of the people and mislead the people.'
