Mumbai: Under dramatic developments in Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis sworn in as the CM and Ajit Pawar as deputy CM, on which NCP chief Sharad Pawar, said it was a personal decision of Ajit Pawar and not of  Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). In the afternoon, Sharad Pawar will hold a press conference with Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.

Sharad has tweeted," Ajit Pawar's decision to support the BJP to form the Maharashtra Government is his personal decision and not that of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). We place on record that we do not support or endorse this decision of his." Earlier, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has also said that "Ajit Pawar backstabbed in Maharashtra case, Sharad Pawar has nothing to do with it. This deception has happened to people  and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj of Maharashtra."

At the same time, senior Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi has said that 'What I have read about Maharashtra is true, I thought it was fake news. Frankly, I think that the meeting of our three parties should not have been more than three days, these are many days. Taking advantage of the time we have given, this opportunity was grabbed." Singhvi said 'Pawar Ji tussi be great, it is quite tremendous if true, I am still not convinced'.
