New Delhi: NCP chief Sharad Pawar will meet Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi on Monday, amidst the deadlock and speculation in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena over the formation of government in Maharashtra. NCP leader Ajit Pawar said on Saturday that during the meeting Sharad Pawar is expected to discuss the state's political developments with Sonia. A lot will depend on this meeting.

However, Ajit Pawar clearly stated that since the results of the election, the role of both parties is clear that we will sit in the opposition because this is what the people have given the mandate.
