Raipur: The Dharma Sansad held in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, has been raised. Kalicharan Maharaj, the religious leader present here, used abusive language for Mahatma Gandhi, for which he has been heavily criticized. Kalicharan Maharaj's video has gone viral on social media and has also been heated up. Maharashtra cabinet minister and NCP leader Nawab Malik has also slammed Kalicharan. He wrote, 'Bapu, we are ashamed, your murderer is alive.'

Leaders of other political parties, including the Congress, are also strongly critical of Kalicharan Maharaj. On Sunday, religious leader Kalicharan lauded Nathuram Godse for the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi and said that people should elect a staunch Hindu leader as the head of the government to protect religion. Sharing a video on Twitter related to Raipur's Dharma Sansad, Nawab Malik wrote, 'Truth, non-violence can never be defeated by lies and violent, Bapu, we are ashamed your murderer is alive.'

The video shared by Nawab Malik is said to be of Mahant Ram Sundar. Mahanta condemns the words used by Kalicharan Maharaj in this video and distances himself from the Parliament of Religions, for which he is being praised.
