Nayanthara and Mammootty starrer Puthiya Niyamam which was released in 2016 has won the hearts of the audience. The film received a lot of applause and among them was ace film-maker, Neeraj Pandey. Pandey watched the film and loved it a lot. Now, according to the reports the director has decided to make the hindi remake of the film.

As per a report in Deccan Chronicle,  Neeraj has bought the rights of Puthiya Niyamam to remake it in Hindi with top Bollywood actors. As per the report, Neeraj will be finalising the cast of the film soon which will include talented actors playing the role of the advocate, the victim and the female cop.

The film was a story of Mammootty who is an advocate in the film and his wife played by Nayanthara. The film was a crime drama and was helmed by A K Sajan. Nayanthara was seen as Vasuki Iyer Louis and Mammootty was Adv. Louis Pothen. The story takes a turn for the worst when Vasuki aka Nayanthara gets raped and then conspires to kill her rapists.

Puthiya Niyamam won Nayanthara the Best Female Actor Filmfare for her riveting performance. Other actors in Puthiya Niyamam include Baby Ananya, Sheelu Abraham, Aju Varghese, Rachana Narayanankutty and SN Swamy who were the supporting cast.
