Neha Dhupia is set to mark her debut on the international stage, starring in Ali El Arabi's latest film titled 'Blue 52.' The announcement came from the film's creators on Monday. The storyline unfolds against the captivating backdrop of Kochi, India, and Qatar.

The narrative of 'Blue 52' revolves around Ashish, a young man who, despite being 22, finds himself restricted in a childlike existence, heavily influenced by his idol, football star Lionel Messi, and the life lessons instilled by his mother throughout the years.

Empowered by a newfound determination, Ashish decides to venture out from home with his mother's encouragement, presented with an opportunity that seems surreal—a chance to meet his idol, Messi, at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. This journey becomes Ashish's initiation into self-discovery, where he navigates the world independently for the first time, unveiling his true identity and discovering his own passions.

Neha Dhupia, renowned for her roles in movies like 'Chup Chup Ke,' 'Singh is Kinng,' and 'A Thursday,' takes on the role of Ashish's mother in 'Blue 52.' Reflecting on her experience, she expressed, "Being a part of 'Blue 52' has been an enchanting journey. The convergence of diverse cultures in this international project allowed me to delve into a character that is both demanding and emotionally compelling. I'm honored that Ali entrusted me with the lead role in my first international endeavor."

El Arabi, acclaimed for his documentary feature 'Captains of Za'atari,' described the creation of 'Blue 52' as a labor of love. He praised Neha for her unwavering commitment to her role, infusing the character with layers of emotional depth. The film beautifully captures the picturesque landscapes of Kochi and the vibrant essence of Qatar, providing the ideal canvas for their storytelling.

'Blue 52' is presented by Ambient Light, with El Arabi serving as the producer alongside Tariq Al-Naama. Co-producers include Krysanne Katsoolis, Joe Matthews, and Katara Studios, contributing to the film's creation.
