Islamabad: The news of the alleged poisoning of Dawood Ibrahim, the mastermind of the Mumbai terrorist attacks and a wanted terrorist, in Pakistan is emerging. According to reports, Dawood has been admitted to a hospital in Karachi, one of Pakistan's major cities. However, official confirmation of this news has not been obtained. Additionally, there is no information about who might have poisoned Dawood. The news of Dawood being poisoned has been treated with skepticism, as rumors of Dawood being poisoned have circulated since he fled from India in 1993.

How PAK can verify the news
Since neither Pakistani agencies nor the Indian government have confirmed such news, it is challenging to verify this information. Various sources have indicated that Dawood Ibrahim is currently hospitalized in Karachi, but there is no official confirmation. Pakistan has been consistently hiding Dawood Ibrahim's presence, making it difficult to confirm any news related to him, let alone the news of him being poisoned.

Social activist provides information on X
The news about Dawood being poisoned first surfaced when a social activist in Mumbai, Neeraj Gunde, shared information on his handle, urging Indian authorities, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Deputy Chief Minister of Mumbai, Devendra Fadnavis, to verify the news. Gunde wrote, "After reports of poisoning Dawood Ibrahim and him being found unconscious, some tweets are circulating. We tried to verify this news through a source, and he confirmed that Dawood's condition is currently serious, and he has been admitted to the hospital. This needs verification."

Pakistani journalist Arzu reveals in a video
In response to Neeraj Gunde's post, and before any confirmation from Mumbai Police, Pakistani journalist Arzu Kazmi made revelations in a YouTube video. Arzu not only expressed concerns about Dawood Ibrahim being poisoned, citing unreliable sources, but also mentioned that there is a complete internet shutdown in Pakistan since morning. Platforms such as YouTube, Google, and any social media platform are entirely inaccessible, suggesting that there may be more to the story. Arzu mentioned her intent to upload the video via VPN.

Chhota Shakeel denies
Meanwhile, Chhota Shakeel, closely associated with Dawood Ibrahim and the D Company, has denied the news of Dawood being poisoned. Chhota Shakeel stated that the reports of Dawood being poisoned are false, and he is perfectly fine.

PAK confuses the world in the name of action
It is evident that Dawood Ibrahim enjoys ISI protection. The Indian government claims to have provided Pakistan with evidence related to Dawood, but the Pakistani government has consistently denied these proofs and maintained the stance that Dawood is not in Pakistan. However, actions taken in the name of action have confused the world. Pakistan has admitted in the past that Dawood is in the country, but it has continued to mislead the world, claiming otherwise.

Nephew says, 'Dawood uncle is unwell'
According to sources, to verify the news of Dawood being poisoned, Indian agencies contacted his relatives residing in Mumbai. Dawood's two nephews, Alishah Parkar and Sajid Wagle, were approached. Alishah is reportedly living outside India, while Wagle denied any knowledge of Dawood being poisoned, emphasizing that Dawood is unwell these days. Wagle mentioned health issues such as hypertension, blood pressure, and kidney-related problems, leading to his hospitalization.

Enhanced security for Dawood
Meanwhile, reports from Pakistan suggest that after Dawood's hospitalization, his security has been significantly increased. The floor where he is admitted has restricted access, allowing only close relatives and doctors to visit. The sudden targeting of terrorists in Pakistan by unidentified individuals has prompted Pakistani agencies to tighten security around Dawood.

Pakistan government maintains its stance
From 1993 to the present, various governments have come and gone in Pakistan, but the government's stance regarding Dawood Ibrahim has not changed. Pakistan continues to conceal any information about Dawood's presence, maintaining the position that he is not in Pakistan. Surprisingly, the dossier handed over to Pakistan in NSA-level talks regarding Dawood contains evidence of his addresses in nine locations, all within Pakistan, with most addresses located in Karachi, even though Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, also has Dawood's addresses.

Dawood's dossier handed over to Pakistan
Secret agencies handed over a copy of the dossier related to Dawood Ibrahim to the Pakistani government. The dossier contains evidence of Dawood's presence in Pakistan, and it was part of NSA-level discussions. The dossier includes details of Dawood's nine addresses, all within Pakistan. Most of these addresses are in Karachi. The curious aspect is that despite the consistent denial from Pakistani agencies, Dawood Ibrahim's presence is established not only in Karachi but also in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.

Dawood Possesses 14 Passports
While the Indian dossier on Dawood Ibrahim does not just claim his presence in Pakistan but also has a copy of his Pakistani passport, portraying him in a clean-shaven appearance. Indian sources assert that he often travels between Pakistan and Dubai using this Pakistani passport. It is stated that Dawood possesses not just one or two but a total of 14 passports.

Previously Reported News of Dawood's Death
This is not the first time that news about Dawood Ibrahim's deteriorating health or his alleged death has surfaced. Prior to this, on June 5, 2020, reports emerged claiming Dawood's death due to COVID-19 in Karachi. Some Indian media outlets also covered this news at that time. Before that, on April 28, 2017, there were rumors circulating on WhatsApp about Dawood Ibrahim's death from a heart attack. Later in the night, some news channels also reported his hospitalization after a heart attack. Earlier, on April 25, 2016, there was news of Dawood Ibrahim suffering from gangrene, with reports suggesting that both his legs could be amputated, posing a threat to his life. However, all these reports proved to be untrue.
