A new calendar of the prestigious Diamond League was released. This time the session has been shortened. According to the new calendar of the league, there will be no points system, there will be no league winner this year and there will not be a final in Zurich. Barring the competition to be held in Oslo on June 11 with the revised schedule and social distance rules, the plenary session will begin in Monaco on August 14 and will be in mid-October. It will conclude in China on October 17, the venue of which is not yet decided.


The actual competition of 14 leg has been reduced to 11 leg. Apart from this, the Diamond League, to be held in Zurich from September 9 to 11, has been canceled while the competition in Rabat and London has also been canceled. The Diamond League season was to begin in Doha from 17 April. But due to coronavirus, it has been cancelled.

The revised schedule of Diamond League is as follows:

11 June: Oslo

August 14: Monaco

16 August: Gateshead

August 23: Stockholm

02 September: Lausanne

04 September: Brussels

September 06: Paris (to be confirmed later)

17 September: Rome / Naples

September 19: Shanghai

04 October: Eugen

09 October: Doha

17 October: China (site not yet decided).

On the other hand, the British Athletics has cancelled the London Diamond League competition to be held in early July due to Coronavirus. The competition was to be held at the London Stadium on July 4 and 5. The 2012 Olympic Games were organized in this stadium.
