During a press conference at the Delhi Secretariat on Thursday afternoon, Kejriwal said, if anyone uses up to 200 units of electricity, he does not need to pay the bill. The government will provide 100 per cent subsidy on bills up to 200 units. Similarly, the government will give half the subsidy on bills from 201 to 400 units, attacking the previous governments in Delhi, Kejriwal said, adding that earlier electricity rates were raised every year, which would have increased the bills. He said that now you have reduced power cuts in the government, whereas power cuts were first imposed, which led to the purchase of inverters and batteries every year.

While there was no change in the rates on power consumption up to 1200 units per month. However, consuming more than 1200 units of electricity will pay 25 paise more bills per unit.
