Bhopal: The new agriculture bill of the Central government has become an enemy for farmers these days and they are demonstrating to take it back. MP CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan considers the new farmers' bill as the strength of farmers. He says that this bill will also give financial strength to the farmer. Recently he said, 'The confusion that is being spread that the mandis will be closed will not happen. If the farmer wants, he will be able to sell grains outside the mandis. Congress and anti-people are pretending about the agriculture bill.' Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said all these things in Bhopal on Monday. During this time he gave a virtual release of 50 irrigation projects.

He also said, 'This is the beginning. When the BJP came to power, irrigation was done on 7-8 lakh hectares, which reached 40 lakh hectares. Now the target is 65 lakh hectares. 30 thousand crore schemes will be released next year. Effective implementation of Farmers' (Empowerment and Protection) Contract Price Assurance and Agricultural Services Act 2020 is going on in MP.

He further said, 'Apart from mandi, farmers will get the benefit of alternative measures to sell the crop. I am also a farmer. Prime Minister Modi also wants to double the income of farmers'. Regarding irrigation, CM informed that 27 major, 47 medium and 287 minor irrigation projects are under construction in MP. Their cost is 60 thousand 737 crore. All these will have an irrigation potential of 24 lakh hectares. The work to accomplish this goal has started. Today the cost of 50 schemes released is 384.35 crores.

He also said that he cannot reverse it after having a pre-contract to buy the crop from a private company. After that, even if the market prices are low. The BJP is starting a farmers conference from Tuesday, that is, to tell farmers about the agricultural laws. Bhopal and Narmadapuram divisions will be held at 11 am today at Bhel Dussehra ground in Bhopal.
