It was called the SARS-CoV-2 Consortium on Genomics (INSACOG). Under this, 10 national-level labs are working to understand the genome sequence of the virus. Between this test, it was found that 771 variants of the virus have been seen in the country so far. Of these, double mutants have also been shown recently.
