Kyiv: Officials reported that all of the approximately 15 cruise missiles that were launched by Russia on Tuesday, the second attack in as many days, were shot down by air defence systems after air raid warnings were broadcast across the majority of the nation.

Serhiy Popko, the head of the Kyiv city military administration, commented on the Telegram messaging app, saying, "As at the front, the aggressor's plans failed.

The fifth attack in May occurred on Tuesday, one day after Russia launched its largest drone swarm to date as part of a new air campaign that was launched 10 days ago following a lull since early March.

It also occurred on Victory Day, one of Russia's most celebrated public holidays that commemorates the day Nazi Germany was defeated in 1945.

On this day, (they) try to kill as many civilians as they can," Popko said.
According to early reports, the attack, which was launched by cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea region, did not result in any casualties, he said.
