Auckland: New Zealand cricket team's veteran batsman Ross Taylor has announced his retirement from international cricket. He has given this information by tweeting from his official Twitter handle. Taylor has revealed that he will retire from the game after a two-match Test series against Bangladesh in New Zealand, and then six ODIs against Australia and the Netherlands.

 

 

Ross Taylor has played a total of 110 Test matches for his country and scored 12,750 runs. At the same time, he has scored 10,288 runs in 233 ODIs played for his country. He has scored 10 centuries and 35 half-centuries in Tests, while in ODIs he has scored 21 centuries and 51 half-centuries. Let us inform you that New Zealand will play a two-match series against Bangladesh at their home, which is starting from January 1. The second Test match will be played from January 9 and this match will be Taylor's last Test.

Taylor will tour Australia for a three-match ODI series at the end of January and then play against the Netherlands at home. Taylor tweeted and wrote, 'Today I'm announcing my retirement from international cricket at the conclusion of the home summer, two more tests against Bangladesh, and six ODI’s against Australia & the Netherlands. Thank you for 17 years of incredible support. It’s been an honour to represent my country.'
