New Delhi: India and New Zealand played a crucial T20 World Cup 2021 match in Dubai on Sunday. Team India suffered a crushing 8-wicket defeat at the hands of New Zealand in this match. This is India's second consecutive defeat in the T20 World Cup 2021 after losing to Pakistan. For New Zealand, Darry Mitchell top-scored with 49 runs. Jasprit Bumrah took both the wickets for India.

After losing the toss and batting first, Team India's batting was very poor. India were just 110 for 7 in the 20 overs. For India, Ravindra Jadeja scored an unbeaten 26 off 19 balls. Talking about New Zealand, Trent Boult took 3 wickets, Ish Sodhi took 2 wickets and Adam Milne and Tim Southee got one wicket each. Team India had earlier touched the 150 mark against Pakistan but could not score even 120 runs here.

India has not beaten New Zealand in the World Cup for the last 18 years. Earlier, India had last beaten New Zealand in the 2003 ODI World Cup. This was followed by the defeat of Team India in the 2007 and 2016 T20 World Cups. Now, in 2021 also, it has continued.
