New Zealand captain Ken Williamson has questioned the point system of the World Test Championship on Thursday, 20 February 2020. Kane says that he does not understand the point system of the World Test Championship. Regardless of the number of matches in this championship, the team will get a maximum of 120 points.

For information, let us tell you that according to the point system, 60 points will be given for winning every match in the upcoming two-match series. On the other hand, winning a Test in the Ashes will earn only 24 points as it consists of five matches. Williamson said it was interesting. I do not think this is fair. But efforts are being made to start the competition in the Test which was not there before. The World Test Championship is a step in the right direction. He said that it is not perfect but efforts will be made to improve it after the first year or two.

According to reports, he said that I am sure that it will get a better look in the coming time. New Zealand senior batsman Ross Taylor added to his tone and said that there are some problems in the preliminary round with the points system but it has started competing in the Test. This is not ideal but much better than the earlier situation. Let us tell you that in the World Test Championship, Virat-led Team India is at first position with 360 points. Australia is in second place with 296 points. England (146) and Pakistan (140) are in third and fourth place respectively.
