BHOPAL: Mohan Yadav, the Chief Minister-designate of Madhya Pradesh, expressed his commitment to fulfilling his responsibilities upon being chosen for the position following his selection as the new leader. Expressing gratitude towards both the state and central leadership, Yadav acknowledged his status as a humble party worker and pledged to serve the people with their support.

"As a small worker of the party, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to both the state and central leadership. With your unwavering support and affection, I am determined to discharge my duties responsibly," stated Mohan Yadav.

Having previously served as a cabinet minister in the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Madhya Pradesh government, Yadav's nomination by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) signifies their choice for the state's new Chief Minister.

The state will witness the appointment of two Deputy Chief Ministers, Jagdisgh Devda and Rajesh Shukla, alongside former Union Minister Narendra Tomar taking on the role of Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker.

Yadav's political journey saw him first elected as an MLA in 2013 from the Ujjain Dakshin constituency. He continued his tenure by securing re-election in the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections.

Earlier in his political career, on July 2, 2020, Yadav was sworn in as a cabinet minister in the Madhya Pradesh Government led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

In an earlier development today, BJP central observers Manohar Lal Khattar, Dr K Laxman, and Asha Lakra conducted a legislative party meeting in Madhya Pradesh.

The recent assembly elections held on November 17 for 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh concluded with the vote count on December 3. The BJP secured a substantial victory, clinching 163 seats, despite facing nearly two decades of incumbency, while the Congress trailed behind with 66 seats."
