BS-6 Eminem Standards will be applicable in India from April next year. And diesel engines with a capacity of less than 1,500cc will have to comply with these norms. However, it costs more to upgrade the diesel engine to bs-6 than petrol. And that's why most companies are retreating. But Ford has said that if demand increases, we will continue to use diesel engines. But Maruti Suzuki is now gradually reducing the use of diesel engines.

According to your information, Mahindra is also going to stop using a 1.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine on its trains. The company uses this engine in its KUV100.  Tata Motors is also shutting down its 1.05-liter Revotork diesel engine used in Tiago and Tigor. Now, it has to be seen how much profit Hyundai gets from installing BS-6 diesel engines and if the company succeeds, will other companies also reconsider it? This will be known next year. Also, how the car performs in the Indian market will tell you the time to come.
