Kang's journey into the world of design began during her time as a Trainee at Ogilvy India, where she gained invaluable experience navigating the intricacies of creative workflow and structure. Collaborating with seasoned professionals, she developed an impactful ad campaign concept for WWF, aimed at enhancing online donations and engagement.

Building on this foundation, Kang's path led her to a Design Internship at YOVTH, a small agency startup in New York City. Here, she immersed herself in research and conceptualization for mood boards and photo shoots, working closely with art directors to gain insights into the dynamic worlds of video and fashion. Kang's career continued to flourish as she transitioned into her first full-time role as a Design Fellow at Interbrand NY. Collaborating seamlessly with the Strategy and Verbal teams, she contributed to the creation of brand books, motion graphics, and visual guidelines for diverse clients. Notably, she played a key role in a rebranding initiative for the company Delinea, from conceptualization to implementation, showcasing her ability to thrive under tight deadlines while maintaining quality and creativity.

Kang's versatility and expertise were further honed in her role as a Motion/Junior Designer at Laundry Service NY. Here, she crafted social campaigns for prominent brands like Adobe, Meta, and Marriott, designing title treatments, visual systems, and motion sequences, while also establishing content calendars and workflows to ensure consistency across platforms. Today, Kang continues to channel her creativity and expertise as a Visual Designer at Designit, where she executes brand-centric designs for both internal and client-facing communications. Her responsibilities include maintaining brand consistency across web and social platforms, expanding the visual language to meet project requirements, and crafting compelling motion graphics, illustrations, and social media content within brand guidelines.

Throughout her career, Kang has embraced the challenges of transitioning from academia to the professional world, allowing each setback to shape her into the designer she is today. "My journey has been marked by resilience and continuous growth," she reflects. "Each experience has taught me valuable lessons and equipped me with a unique perspective and versatile skill set." Kang's dedication to creative problem-solving is fueled by a deep desire to anchor her thought process to intentionality. "I find it extremely helpful to be able to anchor my thought process to something," she explains. "When you work with this intention, it drives a certain sense of inspired decision-making and gives you the ability to take risks with your work as you know you have strong reasoning behind it."

As a multifaceted creative, Kang embraces the concept of being a "creative" rather than restricting herself to a single field. "I love to illustrate and create things in physical form, not just in the digital world," she says. "I enjoy experimenting with different types of media as it helps you push your boundaries as a problem solver." With her unwavering commitment to reinventing the ordinary, Nimran Kang continues to make her mark on the design landscape, driven by a passion for storytelling, branding, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
