New Delhi: The Nirbhaya case which has been going on continuously for the last 8 years has finally caught a turn. So with the date of the execution near, the expectation of the accused of Nirbhaya is being broken. On Friday, 21 February 2020, Akshay started crying bitterly after seeing his family members in Tihar Jail. Pawan was also guilty of the same situation. The family of both reached the jail on Friday to meet them. During this time, even the family members could not stop themselves. Prison officials deemed the convicts and their families to be extinguished and pacified. According to the jail official, the culprits are allowed to meet their family members twice a week.

According to the information received, except for Akshay, the family of three other convicts Mukesh, Vinay, and Pawan often come to jail and meet the culprits. Due to being in Bihar, Akshay's family did not reach to meet for a long time. Akshay's wife, mother, and nephew came to meet him before the first death warrant was issued on 7 January 2020. On Friday, once again Akshay's wife, mother and his nephew reached jail number 3 to meet him. According to jail sources, Akshay was happy at first on the arrival of the family members, but upon reaching the jail superintendent's room, he started crying bitterly.
