Here it is to be noted that on Sunday, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dinesh Gundu Rao had tweeted a video of a black box being carried out of PM Modi's chopper and said, "A mysterious box was unloaded from PM Modi’s helicopter at Chitradurga yesterday and loaded into a private Innova which quickly sped away. The #ElectionCommission should enquire into what was in the box and to whom the vehicle belonged." The BJP had refuted the allegations and said that the box was a part of an SPG unit and contained a teleprompter and other equipment for the PM's Chitradurga speech. She further said that Rahul Gandhi is making baseless allegations against the government on the Rafale deal and further added that the Congress president is unable to "digest the fact that the Defence Ministry can function without middlemen".

However, it is worth mention here that hitting out at Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Sitharaman said that when he went to file nomination, not even one Congress member was next to him. "You are welcome to contest from two seats but it shows you are not sure," she further said commenting on Gandhi's decision to contest from Wayanad in Kerala besides Amethi. "When Rahul Gandhi went to file nomination, Muslim league flags outdid Congress’. It’s pretentiously secular. Why not even one tweet by Gandhi on Ram Navami?" she further questioned.Referring to the BJP manifesto for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections 2019, Sitharaman said, "We have always put the nation before anything else. In our Manifesto, count the number of times we have mentioned the word ‘development’, our agenda is development, and national security."
