On Saturday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will make the fourth phase announcements related to the economic package of 20 lakh crore rupees. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced this package in his address to the nation on Tuesday. The Finance Minister has been continuously sharing the information related to this package with the people from Wednesday through a press conference. On the first day, he announced several relief measures for the MSME sector affected by the lockdown. Sitharaman made several important announcements on Thursday about migrant laborers, farmers and street vendors. At the same time, on Friday, the Finance Minister made 11 announcements to give relief to farmers and livestock farmers. Of these, eight announcements were related to development of necessary infrastructure related to agriculture and animal husbandry and three proclamations were related to administrative reforms.
For your information, let us tell you that the government is making these announcements for sectors affected by the applicable lock-down to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. According to a tweet by the Press Information Bureau, the Finance Minister will give more information related to this economic package through a press conference at 4 pm on Saturday. In this press conference, the finance minister can announce relief measures for other sectors.
Apart from this, on Friday, in the presence of Minister of State for Finance Anurag Singh Thakur, Finance Minister Sitharaman had announced to create a fund of Rs one lakh crore for the development of agricultural infrastructure. He also announced to create a fund of Rs 5,00 crore to encourage bee keeping. Apart from this, it was also announced by the government to create a fund of Rs 20,000 crore for fishermen under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana.
