Today is the birthday of actress Nirupa Roy who made people go crazy with her performance. Nirupa Roy is no longer in this world but people have not forgotten her nor her performance. Very few people know that Nirupa Roy's real name was Kokila Ben and she was born in Valsad, Gujarat. She was seen playing the role of her mother in most of the films she did in her career. However, Nirupa got married before coming to Bollywood. He was married at the age of just 15 to Kamal Roy, a businessman by profession. Nirupa had studied till class IV and got a chance to appear in films through an advertisement. Seeing an ad, she auditioned to become an actress.

Nirupa did dozens of religious films with actor Trilok Kapoor and also gave several hits as a mother.
