Indian wrestler Nisha Dahiya settled for a silver medal after losing to Japan's Ami Ishii in the final of the Asian Championships on Tuesday. World Championship silver medalist Ishii defeated the Indian wrestler 10-0 in the final of the 68 kg category. Earlier, Nisha came from behind against Feng Zhou of China to make it to the gold medal match.

Nisha, making her Asian Championship debut, was down 3-6 at one stage in the semi-finals but came back to beat Feng 7-6. Earlier, he had defeated Delgarma Enkhsaikhan of Mongolia in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, reports say that Nisha's compatriot Priya (76kg) got the better of Japan's Mizuki Nagashima 2-1 in the bronze medal bout. Neelam also made it to the bronze medal bout in the 50kg category but suffered an 8-0 defeat at the hands of Japan's Remina Yoshimoto.
