New Delhi: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has made a big statement amid the ongoing vaccine shortage across the country. Nitin Gadkari says other companies should also get licences to manufacture vaccines in the country to increase production. Nitin Gadkari's statement comes at a time when there is a shortage of vaccine in many parts of the country and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has suggested such a formula in the recent past.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari added furthermore on the shortage of vaccine. He said that now, when demand of vaccine has increased, there is a problem in supply. In that case, he will appeal to the Minister to give more licences to increase the production of the vaccine. Nitin Gadkari claimed that there are labs in each state which have such capacity. If formulaised, vaccine production can increase and results can be seen within 15 days. Nitin Gadkari said that if the production capacity in every state increases, the supply in the country will be faster first and then if made, they can also export.
In the past, when there were reports of shortage of remdesivir in Maharashtra, at the initiative of Nitin Gadkari, some local companies were given its licence, after which the shortage in Maharashtra is over and remdesivir has now reached extra.
