Patna: On Friday, the last day of the Bihar assembly session, there was a fierce ruckus in the house. During the discussion on Governor Fagu Chauhan's address, first RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav lashed out at CM Nitish Kumar, after which Nitish lashed out at Tejashwi. However, after the proceedings of the House, CM Nitish Kumar, in a conversation with the media, broke the silence on the statement, which was in the headlines in the election.
During the election campaign, Nitish Kumar said that this was not a personal comment on anyone, it was just a joke on Lalu Yadav's statement that he produced daughters in want of a son. Nitish said, “We only discussed this thing in-jokes. We were talking about fertility rate and in this context, we jokingly said some things. Some people think of it themselves." At a rally in Vaishali district on 27 October, Nitish Kumar had made such a sarcasm on the 9 children of Lalu Prasad Yadav from the electoral stage that people were also shocked.
Nitish Kumar had said, 'those who produce 8-8, 9-9 children have gone to develop Bihar. There were many daughters in search of a son. Who do not trust daughters, will such people do well for Bihar?' This statement of Nitish was seen as a personal attack on Lalu Yadav, on which he has now given clarification.
