Patna: BJP has fiercely attacked Chief Minister Nitish on the backward reservation. BJP leaders said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has emerged as a villain for the most backward, not a hero. Bihar State President Sanjay Jaiswal and Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Samrat Chaudhary said that if Nitish Kumar is so friendly to the most backward, then why has he not gone to the Supreme Court against the High Court's decision now?

In a press conference held at the BJP office in Patna, Sanjay Jaiswal said that reservation was arranged in the Panchayat under the NDA government. When Samrat Chaudhary was the Minister of Panchayati Raj, an ad hoc committee was formed under his pressure and Panchayat elections were held. BJP has been demanding for the formation of ad-hoc committees for municipal bodies and panchayats in the past. The Speaker said that in every situation, reservation should be given to Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes. Also, the election of the municipal body should be held at the earliest.

Sanjay Jaiswal said that the government has neither gone to the Supreme Court nor formed a commission. The government wants that the amount of the municipal corporation should remain with the minister, as Lalu Yadav used to do earlier. Giving an ultimatum to the Nitish government, Sanjay Jaiswal said that BJP gives 30 days time, if the civic body elections are not held, the party will gherao the streets of Patna. On October 17, BJP will stage a sit-in across Bihar. Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Council, Samrat Chaudhary, while attacking Nitish Kumar said that Nitish Kumar has come in front of the most backward by becoming a villain and not a hero. He did not allow the commission to be formed in his insistence. JDU talks about exposing poll, But their pole has been exposed. Samrat Choudhary asked that the Bihar government should explain why the respect of the backward classes decreased. Let us tell you that in the elections of municipal bodies in Bihar, reservation was given to the backward classes without triple test. Challenging this, a writ petition was filed in the Supreme Court. The matter was being heard in the Patna High Court on the orders of the Supreme Court.
